Wall Climbing to Rock Climbing
Been going to the indoor climbing wall and fancy trying it outside on real rock?
Service Description
This course is perfect for people who have done some indoor climbing and want to take those skills outside. Or for those of you who have been on a rock climbing taster session (or similar) and want to develop those top rope skills. On this course you will get; - movement coaching to improve your skills as a climber - revisit good tying in and belaying techniques - learn to route read - learn how to use a guide book and find routes suitable for your abilities - learn about crag etiquette and environmental issues - Abseiling with a prussik This course can be tailored to the individual wants/and needs Equipment: Equipment provided – Harness (feel free to bring your own), helmet (feel free to bring your own), all specialised rock-climbing equipment. Personal Kit (not provided) – Climbing shoes, appropriate clothing (varies depending on the great Scottish weather), backpack (15-35ml), water/drinks and snacks/lunch. These wall climbing to rock climbing courses are run around Glasgow and the central belt. The venues will vary depending on the weather so this is often decided fairly close to the dates. I will give you as much notice as possible (and hope the weather is kind). I reserve the right to postpone or cancel the session for any reason, including weather (this will be done as soon as possible), and minimum group size. Max group size is 6, minimum of 3
